N’Ko system also include extended character set consisting of accented consonants. This set is used mainly to write foreign sounds that are not normally used by N’Ko speakers. As an example the accented consonant |G is used for g and %G is used for gh. Similarly the accented |F is used to represent V and |J is used for for Z. These extended characters are not covered in this tutorial, however the accents and the accented vowels will be discussed later.
